A Architecture was formed in 2007 by Stephen
Samuelson and Greg
Reid. Both
members previously worked
together at
Studio Arquitectura, the office co-founded by Stephen in 1989.
Plan
A specializes in unique custom residences and restaurants, as well as
smaller scale retail and renovation projects.
Emphasis on proper siting, sustainability,
and green
design are important elements of their work. The members take
pride
in providing professional
service
and making
the design process a satisfying and positive experience for all their
clients.
With
a portfolio of work that includes Traditional Southwest adobe,
Modernism, and an eclectic-mix of regional vernacular styles, Plan A's
designs are as diverse as their clientele. Plan A's goal is
to produce
beautiful buildings that are realizations of their clients' dreams.

Samuelson
Stephen
co-founded Studio Arquitectura in Santa Fe in 1989.
Prior
to its formation, he worked for years on design/build projects after
his move from Boston to New Mexico in 1979. His years as a
master
carpenter in New England have given Stephen a true appreciation for
high quality, hand-built structures and interior spaces.
These
aspects are evident in his work in Santa Fe and around the world.

Greg C Reid,
AIA
Greg
began working with Stephen Samuelson at Studio Arquitectura
after moving to Santa Fe from Manhattan in 1993.
Greg had years of experience in residential architecture in
New
York that he has been able to incorporate
into his work in the Southwest. In New York, he worked for A.
Epstein and Sons, Eric D.W. Cohler, and Stephen B. Jacobs and
Associates. Greg also worked for
Flatow Moore Shaffer McCabe in
Albuquerque on international commercial and hospitality
projects.

David Cofrances,
RA
David began working with Plan A in 2009 after moving full-time to Santa Fe and having been a part-time resident for over a decade.
He worked for a number of renowned firms in Los Angeles designing and over-seeing diverse scaled commercial, retail, and residential projects. David then opened his own office in Venice, CA and returned to his roots in custom residential design. In 2001, he relocated his office to split his time between Rancho Mirage and Santa Fe while completing modern homes in the Palm Springs area.

Kristin Flurry
Prior
to joining Plan A in 2012, Kristin worked for several designers and contractors on construction documents and coordination. She also interned with the Bioneers in Santa Fe, and for Antoine Predock Architect in Albuquerque, preparing presentations for intenational museum, hotel, and university projects. Kristin graduated with honors from UNM with a Masters in Architecture.

Valerie Herrera
Valerie joined Plan A in 2012, bringing her excellent graphic and written communication talents to the firm. After graduating cum laude from the UNM School of Architecture and Planning, she worked as an engineering technician for the Air Force Research Lab in Albuquerque developing detailed drawings and specifications. Valerie is also active with the AIA and Habitat for Humanity.

Andrew Norskog
Andrew has been a part of the Plan A studio since 2010. His modern design sense and computer skills are a big benefit in giving clients realistic images of their projects throughout the design process. Andrew previously worked on design competitions in Ann Arbor, and for the offices of Antoine Predock Architect, and Spears Architects. He also has hands-on experience in custom steel fabrication, carpertry, and digital fabrication.

Nandia
Nandia discovered her passion for office management two years ago when she found her new home with Greg
at the age of two. She works part-time, specializing in welcomes, rearranging her toys, and napping in the sun. Her experience includes living in several homes and a shelter sniffing out all that there is to smell in the New Mexico landscape.
